#Android Companion App Location on Map

I think I remember at one point in the past having a plot of my movements in my home assistant instance.

This was quite a while ago. Now I have a new Phone.
At some point, this apparently has vanished?

I can't seem to re-enable it. If I look at the Map in Home Assistant, all I see is the standard configured zone.
"Background Location" is enabled in the Android App.

What confuses me is that I don't see any entity for this. Not even when I show disabled entities.

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something blatantly obvious, but I've been missing it for at least a few days now.
Should this work? How should this work? In which direction should I start looking?

As always:
As soon as you start asking, you discover the solution yourself.

The answer is that the global map view probably never showed this data apparently?
Instead, I probably must've been using a Map card on some dashboard.

What was a pitfall there was that the editor for the Map card does not expose the hours_to_show setting. Hence, no trace.

You have to know that it exists to switch to YAML and enable it.

It is documented though:

Adding to the confusion was that there isn't "the Map" anymore?
It's just a dashboard of type panel with a map card that.. gets all zones automatically? Maybe? But just zones?
Or just gets initialized with the home zone?
