#Smart plug - LSC Smart Connect Plug vs. IKEA INSPELNING

Hello,
I just ran to buy three LSC Smart Connect plugs as they were on a sale for 6.5$/pcs.
I never tried Home Assistant. I tried connecting it to Tuya app instead LSC app and it worked.
When I installed HA and went to connect it, it says Tuya requires internet...

I want to switch to HA with my IoT devices in order to be completely locally based and not have to rely (and trust) these IoT devices pinging to God knows where.

I guess I will have to wait for IKEA INSPELNING to be restocked, huh?
When I searched for IKEA in HA it didn't show the globe icon.

Or any other budget options if I want a plug that I can turn on/off? Energy stats are cool, but not must-have. I would appreciate if I could have a physical remote. I saw IKEA has one, but only with one button, although it says it can connect up to 10 sockets... so, you can somehow shuffle through them on the remote without using any app?

Thanks a lot

TL;DR - Bought LSC smart plugs, they seem to require 3rd party servers (possible to bypass?), would IKEA INSPELNING run fully locally?

The LSC plug is article 3202088, I found a guide for 3202087 to flash ESPhome on it. No idea if that would help me.

How do you add IKEA INSPELNING?

ikea's products use zigbee for the wireless communication protocol.
it's highly recommended you get a zigbee coordinator and plug it into your HA instance. read the Zigbee documentation for more information https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zha/

Home Assistant

Instructions on how to integrate your Zigbee Home Automation (ZHA) devices within Home Assistant.

to explain the listed options:
Idasen is a line of motorized sit/stand desks sold by Ikea that connect to HA via Bluetooth
Tradfri is Ikea's name for their line of home automation products but this integration is specifically to use their proprietary Zigbee hub. this hub is only compatible with IKEA products and does not expose as much information and controls to HA than you'd get if you connected them direction via a Zigbee coordinator
Symfonisk is Ikea's line of home audio products, built in collaboration with Sonos, as such the Symfonisk integration is just a stub to the Sonos integration (that's what that icon means)

Is there anything I should maybe know before buying? Like issues with firmware updates - like possible only through their hub?
I would like to get couple of those fingerbots that can push buttons, so I hope I don't need bunch of proprietary hubs for each brand.

I've read that those IKEA plugs are really good. Idk if there are better ones, I am open to other options.
I've read that there are issues with voltage or wattage being shown wrong (10x smaller), but then at higher power it corrects or something? Idk if that was solved

I buy the wrong protocol. I use the zigbee ones and you don't need tuya at all.

You buy the wrong protocol if you want everything local. Yes it can be done with wifi and local tuya. But when you bought same plug only zigbee you didn't need tuya at all. If you dont understand try wiki
