#Now that Home Assistant Voice is coming... wanting to switch from HPT640 to... what exactly?

Hello everyone. I've watched yesterdays announcment of the home assistant voice. I recently switched from a Raspberry PI 4 to a HP T640 to host my home assistant, but it seems the specs are not quite enough to run the voice assistant reliably. I wonder if anybody could give me some recommendation on what hardware I should get next to migrate HA to and get a solid experience with the voice assistant device.

Thanks in advance

I - entirely co-incidentally - had just replaced mine with a Minisforum S100

It's a smidge slow (for an N100) if you run it from PoE as I wanted to because it has a bit of trouble with cooling, but when it's on sale (I paid $180 in the Amazon BF sale) it's not comically overpriced compared to any other N100/8GB/256GB unit, and it is a nice form factor

Now that the working year is over, I might spend some time playing with voice on it

If you buy a x86 PC I'd recommend you get something that comes with the benefits of that like replaceable storage, memory, etc.
Nice device otherwise.

Thanks for the headsup. There seem to be a lot of N100 powered devices, I had hoped maybe the community settled on one of em for reasons 🙂
Its only been a month since I moved to the T640 ...yikes
