I know quite a few people have test units and i'm curious if anyone has tried adding external media players as speakers from the config for the PE as thats what i'm mostly going to be using it for in terms of talking as from what i saw the speaker inside is a bit small.

You can add external speaker through audio jack, and avoid sending audio via network here and there... 🙂

Plus I have a couple ones in various areas I use for the tts response that wouldn't be ideal for the pe

BigBobba is already talking about making a firmware for this feature so i'm curious how he does it

+1 from me. It'd be great to be able to easily play the response on a specified room's ceiling speakers to leverage those better speakers and give it the feeling that the voice assistant is more built in to the home.

That's easy to do - but you'll have to take control on device and flash it with updated firmware.
