#Configure Reolink Video Doorbell (Battery) w/ Reolink Integration

This is hopefully a very simple one.

I'm trying to follow the instructions on the integration page (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/reolink/) to set up my Reolink Video Doorbell in HA. The doorbell is auto-discovered. When I go to add the integration, it asks for:

  • username
  • password

I do not see anything in the mobile app for username, so I tried the default. I have confirmed the password is correct.

Once it fails, it asks for IP (this is confirmed correct) and port. battery models do not allow editing the port (for whatever reason), so I am hoping port 80 (default) is correct, but when I try to go to http://ip:80 it doesn't actually work, so I'm not convinced.

Any help in tracking down what I'm missing would be appreciated.

Hello @solid basin,
It is asking for the username and password that your loaded in the app to discover the device. It needs to also log in to reolink to get control of the device.

The instructions specify this is:

Username to log in to the Reolink device itself. Not the Reolink cloud account.
The app for the device never asks me for a username. (I also have not set up reolink's cloud, so I don't think I would be confusing anything there)

Well, I just did this with one of their doorbells a week ago. I turned it on, it found the app on my phone, it asked for a new password and login, and worked in the phone app. I then put that in HA when it asked, and it was happy.

I was missing this:

Battery-powered Reolink cameras can be used with Home Assistant with the help of a Reolink Home Hub or NVR

Hi @solid basin did you end up getting the hub or set it up with NVR?

I ended up just not bothering 😅
