Hi,

Got a massive issue with the Home Assistant App and the Bluetooth of my phone that leads me to disable and re enable it only when needed.

Only when the HA App is opened, every bluetooth speakers start to disconnect / reconnect, the music starts to lag / slowed down / speed up like the phone is far away from the speakers but its not

It seems like i'm the only one to have this issue so this discord is my last hope before uninstalling the app 😭

Dont really know what i can provide to help find the issue

Thanks a lot for your time 🙂

are these devices connected to your phone or just server?

silver sky
#

To my phone

true bone
#

Can you check if the app has permission for Nearby devices/Bluetooth?

#

If it does try disabling it and see if it makes a difference

#

The app will scan for nearby devices to help setup which shouldn't cause the issues you describe, but who knows how your speakers respond

silver sky
#

It is disable

#

As soon as i start the HA app

#

The issue starts

#

And stop when i force shutdown the app

#

Sound crackle

#

Disconnect randomly

#

Quick update, i think i found the issue

#

And it's related to the Tapo Cameras Control integration

#

as soon as i disable it, it works perfectly fine

#

a frontend card?

silver sky
#

Yes

#

Is it a bad practice to add the camera video on the directly on the dashboard ?

true bone
#

a custom card can cause random issues like this

#

you may need to file an issue with the custom card author

silver sky
#

Ok my bad, it was not the integration card

#

I used the image card from HA

#

And filled the camera entity

#

with the entity provided by the custom integration

true bone
#

really wouldnt imagine a video feed doing that but it also depends on teh actual feed you are getting

silver sky
#

It was RTSP

true bone
#

android system webview upto date in teh play store?

silver sky
#

I'm using Viseron aside the integration to record the video, i'm trying to add the MJPEG link that it provide to get the live video (sorry if my english is trash :p)

true bone
#

hmm

#

very random lol

silver sky
#

Yup, will keep you updated when i finally add the MJPEG instead of the RTSP

true bone
#

do you see the same issue using chrome for android on the same device?

silver sky
#

Didn't tried, trying rn

#

Exact same

#

As soon as i remove the card with the RTSP stream => no issue

true bone
#

ok so that points to a frontend issue and not an app issue

silver sky
#

Don't think so

#

I just finish setup to put the Viseron MJPEG stream instead of the one from the Tapo camera instead (RTSP provided by Tapo: Cameras Control integration)

#

The problem don't seems to happened for now

#

As i was able to reproduce the issue each time opening the app

#

I think i can safely say that it's how the camera stream is provided by the third party integration rather than an issue with the HA app or frontend at all

#

Let me know what you think about it and i will probably create an issue on their github

#

Oh and btw, sorry for bothering you for a non HA directly related issue
