Brand new ZBT-1 not working | Home Assistant | Page 1

I just got a ZBT-1 and it's not showing up on my Unraid server at all, even after trying multiple USB 2.0 ports. I popped a Bluetooth adapter and a Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus in there and passed both through to my Home Assistant VM with no issues.
I've read that there has been problems with previous ZBT-1 models but I just ordered this last week from AmeriDroid.
Am I doing anything wrong here?

I contacted AmeriDroid and they said this unit was from the latest batch, so it does not qualify for the replacement program

they said I can return it but I’ll still have to pay for shipping and a restocking fee? wtf

I think restocking fee is not allowed in a few European countries, so worth checking
