#Zigbee Dimmer (white, no colors needed) with temperature control?

Hello everybody. Since I have a very hard time finding acceptable zigbee controllable ceiling lights I am now trying to combine a "non-smart" LED ceiling light with a zigbee dimmer. However, I struggle to find dimmers that are also able to control the color temperature (cold-warm). Can anybody recommend such a device or maybe did attempts to do something like this already?

Thanks in advance

Philips Hue. You can have the non-colour types that allows setting the temp via Zigbee.

I don't think you'll find a Zigbee Dimmer Switch that could also change the colour temperature.

Thanks for the reply. I really thought that would be a thing :/ oh wow... this is disappointing. What I had in mind is more like a ceiling light... like yeelight or govee. I currently run Yeelight Ceiling Lights... but those are unreliable and completely ruin my partners trust in our smart home

We use Philips at home for the majority of coloured lights, and these work well. There have been no issues thus far, and they have been incredibly reliable.

Color isn't even as important to use, but color temperature would be nice. I've seen the philips Tento just now.. they seem to be sufficible with 3100 (claimed) lumen (in the medium-size variant) but don't have any ambient color light (as I said, not required). Most important is to have enough brightness. I've tried to stay away from hue products (because of pricing) ...but maybe I should rethink that approach

#

oh wait, the tento is a rgbw light... okay, thats nice... 150€ each. I need 8 ..yikes. Maybe I should wait for a deal on those. afaik hue products are pretty reliable

#

maybe I could start with the smallest tento variant, check how reliable that is and then slowly change the existing lights over time

That is what we did. I made sure that Hue worked for us, but it was expensive.

Yeahm but if its reliable its probably worth the investments. Really want to have smart lights everywhere... they help a lot... automatic turning on and off... controlling by app. automatic turn off when leaving home... lots of things. But it really must be zigbee as cloud controlled devices are a pain... and the yeelight even claim to have a LAN mode.. but even that disconencts froms wifi sometimes... if lights don't turn on/off on switch press then acceptance on smart home is lost

well, one of the problems that you'll run into is that "non-smart light" and "change color temperature" are incompatible :)

#

in order to change color temperature, the light has to have some sort of smarts in it, to choose the relative balance of light produced by cool vs. warm leds.

#

(that said, there are some dimmable non-smart bulbs available which produce warmer light when dimmed, to mimic what happens with an incandescent bulb)
