What happens when I select an area AND a label

Attached is a screenshot. My goal is for them to be intersecting, but I'm afraid HA treats this like a union.

I have some lights in my room that shouldn't be turned on when I want my room to be bright, like the one on my 3d printer chamber, my goal is instead of having to manually select all my "lighting" lights for all my automations, i use an intersection of a label and an area

if not, what's the best way to define this behaviour?

You are right it will be a union

You’d have to use templates if you want an intersection
