Using LLama3.2 and 3.3 - assist not seeing entities | Home Assistant | Page 1

I'm relatively new to trying to use assist. I have llama3.2 and 3.3 running on my server and I have been trying the online guide and videos... unfortunately whenever I try and ask assist about my entities and their states I get told that it does not have the ability to access homeassistant entities.

Assume you are using the Ollama integration?

Yeah i've tried the ollama integration and also the chatgpt/ openai conversation integration both are the same for me

Are they set to allow assist control?

Did you configure integration for access? In integration config, you need to choose "Assist" instead of default "No access".

After that expose entities to assist. But be prepared for longer responses. 🙂

Yeah that’s all set across the board now I even did the whole disable and enable to no avail

yeah same as always just get this generic response - "I don't have real-time access to your Home Assistant setup. However, I can suggest some ways to find out which switches are turned on.
