#ZHA Device still showing as connected to other devices after being disconnected

Hi everyone

I've recently got some new Ikea tretakt smart plugs to boost my zigbee signal since I kept getting annoying dropouts and things happening, so hoping this will fix it. I previously had a single tradfri repeater that was plugged in next to my desk in the middle (physically) of all my ZHA devices.

When I got home from Ikea I noticed that my tradfri repeater was showing up as unavailable on my ZHA visualisation, with a red background. The tradfri I have has a wall plug and then a secondary usb thingy that plugs in - I assume that's the repeater because it was out slightly - must have been the puppy running around knocked it out, causing it to show as unavailable on ZHA. I decided since I got a lot of new repeaters to just replace the old one with the new ones, since these are new plugs and a can't be separated like my old tradfri.

I decided to unplug my tradfri and replace it with a tretakt. I connected it up (along with a few others) and connected them to HA. I watched the network and saw them appear, but as I was watching, I saw the tradfri was still there. I thought it'd take time, but it's been a couple of days and it's still there - and what's more - there are devices that are connected to it even though it's unplugged and sitting on my desk, and those devices aren't connecting to the new repeaters at all (see attached image)

This is my first time expanding my network and I'm still very new to zigbee, but I'd have thought after a few days it would have fixed itself by now? Since unplugging the repeater, I've 1) restarted HA 2) turned off HA, removed my skyconnect, turned on HA and left my skyconnect offline for ~2 hours, then turned off HA and plugged in my skyconnect again, and 3) had HA off for ~4 hours

Despite all this, the repeater still shows as having devices connected to it? If anyone has any suggestions on how I can fix it, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If not using the ikea repeater any more remove it. The map is not realtime but should update every few hours. It also relies on what the devices report. You can also look at the device directly and look at its neighbors.

#

If you go into the devices configuration page, and hit the 3 dots and pick manage device, the last tab is neighbors

#

When it comes up by default it will show the lqi but you can click the header and see the relationships of all the devices it has reported as neighbors.

#

I’m guessing your new device may show an accurate table but the old repeater may be reporting stale information, or the has just retained its last reporting

so i went into the old device's page and went to the neighbours, and it does show other neighbours there

#

but the device is literally still unplugged so i don't know how to refresh it?

#

also since then i've restarted HA multiple times, so i have no idea why it thinks there are still things connected to it?

Try plugging in the router again making sure it’s online and then removing from HA.

Yes the device.

can i not do anything to remove it from the connected map without removing the device from HA?

I wouldn’t treat the map as the source of truth. But to force it to update I think removing the device from HA is best. By making sure it is online when you remove it, it should leave it un-paired so when it next powers up it goes right into pairing mode. - note it’s been a while since I used ikea routers.

i'll give it a shot then

ok cool, it got picked up for a minute, i removed the device and it knows about it
