Hello, due to the topology of the zigbee devices in my house, i'm looking to buy a couple zigbee repeaters to be sure that the network is stable.
most repeaters i can find are usb, what i'm looking for is a module that i can connect directly to 220v L+N wires and hide inside an electrical box, of course the main factor here is size, the smaller the better, do you know of any devices like this?

2 wire smart relays will do this, you don't have to control them
i know, i just wanted to ask if there's bespoke devices that will do this, maybe in a smaller package
You can get ones built into the face plate for very low impact packages
You can flash many of the coordinators to relay mode, then plug them into a usb wall wort.
Don't do the 2531, though. Not worth the $3 you will pay for them.
doesn't really fit my use case, i'm trying to avoid ub devices at all because i don't want an usb charger sitting in the middle of the house, also one repeater will need to be put in the staircase, where i don't even have outlets
third reality plugs have the same zigbee chip as the sonoff e dongle and route very well.
Well you are not actually putting it in an electrical box and expecting it to work, either. The interference will eat your signal.
the relays that use zigbee and also serve as router are made specifically to be put in an electrical box, and that's where i'm installing them, do i have to expect that nothing will work? 😅
I would not expect the range from an inbox thing that you can get with one out in the air. Might work. Maybe they have the transmitters cranked up for the in-box ones. Lot of variables, but realize zigbee is the same frequencies as wifi. There is a reason that the ZBT-1 from Nabu-Casa comes with an extension to get away from other electrical things.
That (ans most usb zigbee coordinator) come with an extension not to stay far from other electrical things, but specifically to stay far from usb 3 ports that do have interferences on the 2.4ghz frequencies... home electricity shouldn't have the same effect at all
on the other hand, of course a device in open air will perform better than something sinside the walls, that's for sure
I'm sorry to bother you.
