Myself and @tawny sable are looking for help setting up govee products with home assistant. For myself, i'm not sure where to start, but I have installed the Govee integration from HACS. When I opened it today, the integration was broken. A reload fixed it, but I'm not sure why it broke in the first place. Any tips or some help clarifying how it works would be great!

Ultimately though, if things broke then the (Core) log will have information that'll help people help you
I’ll have to look into these. I looked at a log, and I think the api pull requests were maxed out. I don’t know which integration I’m using right now, but I’ll check out the Govee local one. That worked for Tuya really well.
I'm trying to use the govee local and it will not find my devices without any sort of helpful logging
It's a known issue that govee local has no ability to manually configure an IP, and doesn't lalways ike VLANS (I have this problem at my house, but my partners house has no VLANS and it just works)
Same here. Cant get Govee Local or Bluetooth to work 😢 no govee products and all my lights are govee.
Hello friends - I have done the research and found that the only way it will work for me is through this "MQTT". Check this out for info on how to get your govee lights integrated @velvet hatch @tawny sable @fading pelican https://github.com/wez/govee2mqtt/blob/main/docs/ADDON.md - just got mine hooked up just now
Oh pretty neat!
Seems like a silly question but I did some research a month or so back on mqtt but never understood what I was reading.
Can you (or anyone else) give a very short nutshell of what it is/does?
I am a complete noob and probably shouldn't even be here, but basically it passes the signal to HA. So it goes from govee to mqtt to HA I believe. It passed a good majority of my lights through, dreamview, scenes, 1 click automations and everything @velvet hatch I just followed the instructions to get the govee2mqtt installed on HAos. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer anything I can so far.
