#"Drag and drop" will sometimes make steps just "disappear"? 🤔 [Bug FIXED!]

Hey folks- I have encountered this issue now and then and was wondering if it had happened to anyone else. Sometimes when I am using the GUI to edit an Automation, I like to create a step, then duplicate that step, and drag it to another area.

This usually works fine, but sometimes (and its pretty rare) when I "drop" the step, it simply... disappears. O.o

I have tried switching over to YAML view and the code is just gone. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen and, if so, is there some kind of fix?

Ok, so I was able to capture the issue and I've added a video of it happening..

yeah i have noticed this too, if you drop it somewhere it doesn't belong it disappears. its a bit of a pain, i am not sure if its intended or not. but it would be nice if it went back to where its was and showed a warning "that doesnt go there" or something.

you have to drop it exactly into the new section if your slightly outside of it then it goes poof. maybe worth chucking an issue in on frontend about it. its not been something thats bothered me enough to do anything about it yet

Did u see the video I posed above? I don't think I "missed" the target but it disappears anyways...

yeah i have had things like this too but when i make an effort to ensure its dropped in the middle and to not move the mouse for a moment as i drop i havent had the issue. its hard to tell specific timings of mouse release on the video

open an issue on frontend with the video on it and see what comes of it
