Hello Please can someone Help. I am experience and have been installing smart homes for many years using Philips, RTI and Savant. yesterday I decided to see what all the Hype was with Home Assistant so Installed it on My NAS using Docker and it looks very interesting finding LOADS of things on my network. however I seem to be stuck at the first hurdle.
I am using Home Assistant
Core - 2024.11.3
Frontend - 20241106.2
I need to edit the configuration.yaml file so trying to install Visual Studio code but but there is no Add-Ons option in my settings and after reading further I managed to install HACS and went to add a repository for hassio-addons but get an error and looking on the internet everything points to setting and Add-Ons in which I do not have this option?
is this a docker version problem, do I need to set it up on proper hardware etc. "not raspberry pi"

any direction would be greatly appreciated

Hello Strider and MANY THANKS for your response, Ironically I was just reading this very same thread 🙂 I understand this now and was hoping HACS would be the answer which It has a little but it seems al repositories I have tried adding just fail one way or another 😒 all I want to do is add visual studio code like https://github.com/hassio-addons/repository/tree/master/vscode but guess Im just going to have to buy a Home Assistant Yellow Kit or something as might be easier and less difficult in the long run.
