Govee H7039 via MQTT - no scenes

I have scenes available to my Govee floor lamp, outdoor permanent pros, and outdoor flood light 2s, so I just purchased the H7039 (string lights 2) but I cannot access any scenes on it. Is it because these string lights aren't Matter over WiFi compatible (like my other Govee lights are), or is there something else to the setup that I will need to do to be able to access the scenes in HA? Thanks in advance!

It seems the Govee2MQTT plugin has an issue logged already, added a comment but not sure if it gets traction - would appreciate if there are any workarounds to getting this to work!
