Using the Samba plugin, I added my 2 appropriately named model files:
\\192.168.1.237\share\piper
- model.onnx.json
- model.onnx.

  • These files are confirmed to be working, as I have previously tested them with Piper directly after training.

I restarted the Piper plugin.
Go to the COnfiguration tab
dropdown "Voice"

My model is not present in the list. I see all other 'default' models listed.

Solved. It was an issue on my part, of course.

ANSWER:

I was not using the local piper on my homeassistant OS device. I was offloading t to my AI server. Naturally, this means the model file should be on the AI server, not homeassistant host device.

Secondly, if you ARE running it local or either way: I didnt know that I would have to pull a dropdown for the language (I assumed my model would show as en-US, but I was sadly mistaken. Pull the dropdown, and select English. BOOM! enjoy.
