I'm new to HA and am still setting up everything. My wife is interested in getting one of the digital calendars like Skylight, Hearth, DAKboard, etc., but I am religiously opposed to buying their hardware and paying a monthly subscription for what, IMO, is a pretty limited feature set. I'm curious if anyone has had luck repurposing one of these to use as a HA interface. I would love to set up a calendar as the main screen and be able to bring up other various dashboards for HA controls and reporting. I know I can roll my own with a large tablet, all-in-one PC, or even a touchscreen display and a pi, but if it can be made to work with off the shelf touchscreen hardware designed to hang on a wall, that's a huge benefit.
