#Trigger according to sun sensor data

You can use the sun elevation
That's going to be easier than using an attribute like that
Otherwise you'll have to pull that out into a template sensor, and use that template sensor in a time trigger
Thanks for that information, but how does one know using the elevation attribute that for instance it is 1:30 before sunrise?
I mean technically you don't, but the thought is that when people usually say they want to do something X before sunrise, they're not really looking for an exact time, but rather some kind of condition on the ambient outdoor light which is better approximated with elevation.
It is somewhat odd to me that you can pass parameters🙁 to the elevation attribute but not the offset! I think it must be time for "The Year of the Clock" and start making dealing with time a calendars much easier. One should not have to go to such extents in 2025 to set a offset to sunrise or sunset.
The simple solution is ... look at the elevation when it's "dark enough"
That's all I've done, and depending on what I want that usually means that things come on somewhere between 0 degrees (sunset) and -6 degrees (civil dusk)
Right now, for where I live, 90 minutes before sunrise would be about -12 degrees (nautical dawn)
