I have been using a Flume for the past 2 years and have really enjoyed it. However, our water company recently changed our water meter out and Flume is no longer compatible. I want to add water reading back to home assitant, but not sure how to approach it. I have started looking at AI On the Edge but i'm unsure if that works with digital displays?

What is the easiest and less-likely-to-break setup I can use?

Ai probably would work, but as this is a digital meter, you probably want to observe the case closely for logos that describe communication abilities

I could imagine that it already does rf outputs of some sort

Yeah, I use SDR for my gas meter currently but there’s nothing on this box that indicates it has a radio built into it. It obviously does, and the manicure says it uses RF, but I don’t think it’s readable on this situation.

i guess the ai ones are the way to go, unless you find to afford one of the clamp one ones / pipe in another meter on your side which you are able to read out

I wanted to do a Moen or Zooz Titan Valve, but my plumbing is a nightmare currently lol
