I’m seeking to replace my old smoke alarms with a smart one. The one I’m mostly interested in replacing is the one at my kitchen/living room, which sits 12ft high and doesn’t have a wired connection. Since it is near the kitchen, I want one that notifies me if something is detected, and allows me to easily turn it off if it is a false alarm. My current one will trigger almost every week while making toasts, and that is no good. I like my toasts and my ears both.

I have several Frient smoke alarms, they use Zigbee (easy on battery life). You can even use the siren for burgler alarm too
