Hi, I'm looking forward to hear y'all opinions and experiences with local robot vacuum integrations in HA.
I currently have a Tuya robot vacuum and make us of the local-tuya addon which doesn't work great. It can only listen to commands, but it won't update it's status if it's decoupled from the cloud. So I can tell it to start vacuuming, but HA will still think it's charging.
Now with Black Friday upcoming I wanna see if I can snipe a good deal on a vacuum can work without drawbacks 100% cloudless. Anyone here who has any recommendations?
Also I've been looking at the Xiaomi X20+ which in itself looks like a very solid device. I know that Xiaomi vacuums are also quite well supported in terms of HA integrations, but I'm not aware whether the device will still work properly when dropping all of it's inbound/outbound internet traffic in my firewall.
I've looked into Valetudo which is not out of the picture for me to use, but I do consider it a last resort since I don't want to tamper with hardware, root the device etc if I don't have to.
