My Wife is using a Google Pixel 7a. The GPS Location tracker of the companion app used to be working just fine, with decent update rates, increasing, when approaching the home zone.
Since a couple of weeks this seems to be no longer the case. The position rarely updates, which makes coming home automations currently useless, as it takes up to 10 minutes for home assistant to recognize that she is actually home.
I am not aware of having changed any settings. Home assistant companion app is allowed to work in the background and the location settings within the app are still set correctly.
Any hints? Has something changed lately?
Has Android 15 changed anything?
