#Zigbee Lighting UK, where to start?

I've just had a rewire of my house done, and I want to smart all the lighting. I previously used Hue, but I didn't like the fact you have to use the App/Alexa to do anything, and I didn't really use the color features. I've just installed HA Core (I've never used Docker and I'm comfortable with pip) on a spare machine and would like to have that as the basis of integration. My understanding is to get started I will need:

  • A Zigbee Stick plugged into the computer.
  • Zigbee modules that sit in the back boxes of the lights, including a 3-gang one for the classic hall/landing/porch combo. I have neutral wires available in (nearly) every socket.
  • Momentary switches for physical control of these modules, where a whack toggles a given light on or off, what are these properly called? When I search for them I keep finding all-in-one things and I'm not sure if those are a good idea.
I also need to do the 2-gang switching for the landing, my understanding is that one module controls the light, and the other uses the existing wiring to send a momentary signal to the same module. Do I have that right?
