#Strange reset to 0

I have a z-wave device that measures total kwh usage itself (Qubino 3-phase reader, ZMNHXD) . I noticed how my oven suddenly was presented as having drawn a whopping 2000 kWh (!) in one day, two times (first screenshot)

While debugging it I could see that it read 0 for a minute (last screenshot). This must have made the energy panel to reset the usage. It was drawing 2000 kWh, then suddenly went to 0, and then back to 2000 kWh.

Has any one seen this before and is there a solution to fix it? Is it possible for example to ignore lower values as a kWh meter can only add, not deduct (if it doesn't produce electricity, like my oven)

So the problem is that it is ignoring the negative reading - otherwise you'd have - 2000kWh followed by +2000kWh and it'd all cancel out.
Personally for a couple of sensors I use that misbehave like this - I use a trigger template sensor
