Running docker for everything. Have had no issues last few years then all of a sudden. Since Nov 10th have had issues according to the log. I'm wondering if my issues go back further, but they aren't logged maybe for some reason? Or HA is culling that status?

Updated the stick FW a while ago to try and resolve, no luck.
dmesg and /var/log/syslog on the host have nothing interesting.
What's in the driver logs? Loglevel debug
Where do I set that? Settings?
I'm on mobile right now but the zwave-js integration docs should explain it all
I think it's called Z-Wave logs there though
K will try to set that
Pastebin
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
Same ol stuff over and over, not super helpful IMO.
Have you unplugged and plugged it back?
Yes
Have also done a hard power off of serevr.
I'm now trying to go from 7.21.4 -> 7.21.5, but the FW update fails at 66%.
I wonder if I should just buy a Zooz 800 LR stick? The current stick (SiLabs) has been fine for 1-2 years.
https://community.home-assistant.io/t/zooz-usb-800-lr-zst39-unresponsive-controller-troubleshooting/742864/28 Looks related. It's for Zooz, but same issue I have with Silicon Labs UZB-7 (SLUSB001A)

I would try unplugging the stick first of all.
I have unplugged it.
This specific comment linked to doesn't seem to be saying much in relation to this topic.
My Zwave doesn't work very well with it unplugged however....... 🙂
The log indicates that the connection to the stick silently breaks. It starts to respond for a second, and when the next command should be executed 30s later, it's gone again.
You can try disabling the watchdog in the addon settings (it's a bit hidden), but I don't expect it to change something
What else is between HA and the stick? A VM maybe? Broken USB cable? USB hub with not enough power?
They're using Z-Wave JS UI, FYI
Oh right. Then it's in the Z-Wave JS UI settings and not as hidden
Yep, the Watchdog config is in the Z-Wave panel of Settings if you want to try disabling it.
Just an extension cable in between. I'll try watchdog
OOf. Failed to recover from bootloader. Please flash a new firmware to continue... (ZW0100)
Wat?
Might have a bad flash on it.
I pulled the stick and have it on my linux laptop. It flashed without issue.
Flashing was failing on my server even with it directly into a port on the motherboard at the back - no extension, no internal case connection to a front USB port....
So I guess now my troubleshooting shifts to bad USB on this machine, even though other USB devices are OK on it - two RTL radios, keyboard....
Odd. Maybe just that one port?
I've had that before on a desktop PC where one of the ports just wouldn't work anymore
I flashed 7.18.8 on it for fun.
