I'm intrigued by the Sonoff NSPanel Pro wall panel, but I'm having trouble understanding if it's possible to make it 'local only' (not dependent on an external network) or not. I see that the eWeLink app is necessary to get it running HA, but is that only for initial setup, or does it have to be connected to it at all times?

And yes it can work without WAN.

That's exciting, I'm interested in using it in a couple of places when it's better at integrating with HA
