My homeassistant suddenly comes up with that error. And I found the backup files through the fail safe shell. Now I want to setup ssh to retrieve these backups!

Backups that are left on the computer being backed up aren't backups
You've got a Proxmox/host problem

You have file system corruption

#

You've said that yourself more than once now

#

So ... you've got a problem with the hard disk

(SMART is also only helpful for the problems it can spot, which isn't everything)
