#What is the process to replace the ZHA dongle with a new one and not impact the zigbee network?

Both devices are using EFR32MG21 chip. I do not want to re-pair any device. I see there is an option to "migrate radio" but the disclaimer is scary: "Before plugging in your new radio, your old radio needs to be reset. "

Why does the old radio need reset? And will this work with network attached radios? I don't want to screw things up

I’m not sure why the old radio needs to be reset after it is backed up. I’ll let someone else chime in on that

Just what I feared. I am at restore backup phase and "Unknown error occurred"

#

So now I have a wiped old zigbee and nothing working

So I restart the entire home assistant and it seems to work but it never prompted me to Overwrite Radio IEEE Address which is concerning

I've been saying forever the documentation could need some work. I see what you mean "If your radio requires overwriting the IEEE address," but it does not explain in what cases it is needed or not.

#

... and no mention of "unknown error" ...

Somehow I tried this and ended up with 2 coordinators - I can't get rid of either one in my config, . Neeither one will attach a device sucesfully.

#

they have different ieee addresses too.

#

How do I totally reset my zha config and start over?

That's easy, just delete it... but you will have to re-link all the devices.

Or actually maybe just delete the one you don't want.

Then head over to config/integrations/integration/zha > Re-Configure Current Radio > Enter your settings > Erase network and create a new network

sorry to jump on this post, but whats the way to go about it if you simply just need to change the IP of the controller? doing the whole migration process seems massivly overkill. is there a config file or something else i can just change to do this?
