atomic granite
Hello from the United States! I'm wondering if anyone has tried or succeeded in making a system that allows you to use your entire house as a speakerphone?
I've been slowly increasing the voice commands that my HA system can do and now have an Atom in every room. Today I took a video call on my PC in my office, but then needed to grab a coffee from the kitchen. That's when it hit me that it'd be awesome to be able to walk around and have the home automatically follow me around to the speakers and mic nearest to me. Even cooler would be if video would move as well.
Clearly that is going to take some hardware to work, but I'm not really sure where to start. I thought I'd suggest it here and see if others like the idea and want to collaborate on it.
(Mods - I realize that esp32 devices might be one way to start, but I don't think this is a ESPhome thing, or at least doesn't have to be? If we need to move this to another thread, I'm cool with that too.)
