Hello, I have a problem…
The iOS App is stuttering…look the video!

This problem is only with the App… in browser everything is smooth and fast!
Only solution is to reboot HomeAssistant while the App is opened, but when I reopen or reload the App, it starts again to lag. Doesn’t depend on connection (Remote or Local)

Having this problem about 2 months now and can’t figure out what’s causing the problem…

I tested 3 devices, iPhone 14 Pro Max (newest beta App), iPad Pro M1 (newest release App), iPhone 12 Pro (newest release App)

I have 3500 entities in HA.

Any solutions?🙃

Do you have a dashboard with a huge number of entities on it? Like perhaps the default dashboard you've never taken control of?

Can you check if the app is connected through internal or external URL? Which version of the app are you using?

I received similar reports like yours, on Monday I’ll check what’s happening.

Meanwhile, clearing the front end cache and force closing the app helps?

Can you share a screenshot of your internal URL configuration screen? you can send in private if you prefer

Just posting here what we discussed in private, the issue could be related to entities that updates too frequently, so I am adding throttling in the app where it updates local database

I'll make a new beta soon so you can test as well

I can confirm that my tablet is not crashing anymore 🙏 . Would love to see more performance work but this is already nice. Thanks a lot for taking care of it ❤️

Thanks for the feedback, any symptoms remaining?

Since iOS 18 (iPad Pro M1), I’ve been experiencing issues after keeping the app open for a couple of days. The MAC address or identity in Home Assistant (BrowserMod ID) starts rotating every 0.1 seconds, and the theme along with other settings resets to default.

Reopening the app resolves the issue, and everything returns to normal. However, I don’t encounter any crashing problems. (App is on the latest release version, not TestFlight).

If you know the time the crash happens would be even better

I will try. It crashed again when I tried to export the logs just right now 😅

#

😭 I can’t it freezes on the share sheet. And it is super slow before I reach the debug window

#

Ok I think the export works.
I already see A LOT of this line:

Environment.swift:73] init() > WebSocket: Received: event: for HARequestIdentifier(rawValue: 22)

Like A LOT

Anyway I just sent my logs
