HI, I'm wondering if anybody would recommend this drive. It has Transfer speed 2000 mps (R/W), USB 3.2, NAND. I'd think it would be ok and save me the hassle of getting a case for M.2 or something. Cheaper as well for the 500gb... based on what I've seen recommended the RW is more than enough, and it should be fine for several years. I just don't know if it's compatible.

Compatible with what? What do you want to use it for and with?
Home Assistant OS install
Just getting started, need an HD to set things up basically.
What hardware is HAOS running on?
Personally I would not buy this. Just buy a normal SSD or NVMe and a case if needed.
Raspberry Pie 5. Thanks, I'll keep looking out for something.
The raspberry 5 has a M.2 NVMe slot. Why not use that?
