Hi,
I've seen few discussions about people struggling with iOS companion since couple of HA versions. In my case, that started last week-end, 3 to 4 days after installing 2024.11.
The app does not start at all, I cannot even access the settings (orange icon when the app starts). I tried both stable version from the App Store and the dev one from TestFlight, same issue.
Deleted and reinstalled the app, same issue. i cannot even go to the end of the install wizard asking for permissions, the app crashes.
Note that I have no issue with the web version, even from my iOS device and that I have this issue on 2 devices (iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 11, both with latest iOS version).
BTW, even after deleting the app and reinstalling it, my servers are still there and the cache does not seem to be deleted.

Servers are saved in keychain, they are not cached.
Can you tell me when the app crashes? Screen record maybe?
iOS beta, iphone and iPad, opens side and main allow scroll. Few seconds later one icon shows up. If pull down to refresh app locks. After bit may show config / gear icon lower left. Test app beta / release, clear cache / reset. Only location not updated in logs.
??
Have you tried to clean the front end cache (companion app settings >> debugging >> reset frontend cache)? Which versions are you using?
You kind of hijacked the OP question, if the above doesn’t help you, it would be better to separate this question into another thread.
I cannot even touch the gear icon
Tapping the gear does not work? Can you swipe up with 3 fingers and then tap the gear that will show up?
Debugging >> export logs
Cannot get there
Swiping up with 3 fingers does nothing?
App crashes before I can do that
Can you record the screen until the app crashes then please, I know it sounds irrelevant but it helps 🙂
That's what I posted no?
Maybe you want more than that?
I can access the settings, but cannot enter
I'm recording
I can enter debugging but the app crashes before cleaning the cache
Cleaning the cache was the recommendation for the other user, from you I need the logs
Btw I’ll offline now, I’ll check que I get back
I have been able to go until the frontend cache and cleaned it. Able also to export logs and reinit the app.
After restart, app very slow and crashes before I can enter manually server url
Here are the logs:
Okay, I'm going to try that.
Managed to do that. Fresh install, it works but it's really really slow
Actually, it's unusable. Any idea what happened?
What’s your iPhone, iOS version and app version you are running now?
Usually the slowness can be caused by third party components of too many things on your dashboard
iPhone 13 mini, iOS 18.1, HA companion 2024.9 (I can test with the dev one).
My dashboard did not change between last week where it worked fine and couple of days ago where it suddenly stopped working.
On Monday I’ll check what may be happening, I got some other reports so perhaps they are related to this
Hi,
Just to inform that it works better. A little bit slow but usable
Sorry what do you mean? The new beta?
