Is there an attribute or way I can configure the cooldown on this. without using the Aqara hub?
So essetentially is there a setting here that can do it ?

Did you mean the P1 Motion sensor? P2 is a Matter over Thread device, not Zigbee.

From the ZHA github issue regarding the P1 being added: https://github.com/zigpy/zha-device-handlers/issues/1498 it seems like they're using a manufacturer-specific cluster that has been reverse-engineered. It doesn't look like ZHA exposes any controls for configuration. From the Z2M issue: https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/issues/11990 it looks like there are zigbee commands available to set the sensitivity and timeout, but the ZHA quirks don't appear to have any handling for that.
it might be possible to manually send a command to them, but I honestly wouldn't know where to start to find out how to do it from zha.
fwiw, the Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 (Matter) does not have configurable motion sensing time out - it's fixed at 1 minute.

For the P1 it should be possible, but hasn't been implemented in ZHA. It might be possible to do from the "Manage Zigbee Device" ui, but I'm not sure exactly how.

So anyhow, since there's a thread with the appropriate title, how reliable is the P2 motion sensor? When I check Amazon, the reviews are somewhat mixed.
