Hue connect directly to home assistant?
Does IKEA bulbs need the smart hub from IKEA or do they go right to home assistant?
Don't need IKEA hub, but you do need some kind of zigbee coordinator for them to talk to HA.
Ah gotcha. Yeah I'm grabbing one of those. That's good to know
Does senglad work with HA without their smart hub?
might be more specific about the product. is it zigbee?
This is a decent site to check for compatibility, though it is not always 100% up to date

If it's just generic zigbee should work. There are some products out there that are like Alexa only, so watch out for those, but this seems like it would be fine.
Ah okay cool
Sengled bulb will work but would stay far away from those bulbs! Have several that lasted for a less than a year. Spend the extra money and get hue, they are rock solid
Oh okay cool cool
Trying to decide if I really need bulbs or just plugs. But I like the idea bulbs so I can match the perfect temperature in the room
Does hue connect locally to HA?
Hue's Zigbee stuff, with a Zigbee coordinator as discussed above
Oh gotchaa
I am trying out some innr bulbs, but I can't find a way to dim them via home assistant
Dim them through the dashboard or through an automation?
Dashboard on HA. I was able to dim on the Z2M page though. Either way I'm fully into my zigbee setup now lol. Just gotta make sure all my stuff is working as a router since my coordinator is in a closet
You have to go into more info for dimming/color controls.
Or use a light card, like the Mushroom one
Light card? Googling it now
