#Matter Server on Synology

Hey guys, i tried to setup the python matter server on my synology NAS. Somehow it want start. Any ideas? Ipv6 is set up on my router.

Run a VM with HAOS on the Synology. Running matter Server on a NAS with docker is not going to work.

im going to try this on my Syno docker see if i can figure it out. no promises as have no matter setup yet

You can't - the Synology host OS misses essential components and (kernel) patches.
Run HAOS as VM on Synology - that will work.

I know docker very well, and you can't use VM on syno unless you set it up in a certain way .. which if you didn't needs a wipe .

Essentially means I'm stuck in docker and cannot run vms.

In that case you cant run Matter, sorry.
