Entity cards very slow at loading

Hello I’m very new and still learning. The first thing I did was create a dashboard with some temp graphs on there using the entity cards (the one that shows a smooth simple orange line graph).

I’m not having problems wheee they take a long time to load every time I go to that dashboard. I’ve done a little googling and found that it might be because there are too many data points being recorded. I suppose for a temp sensor a reading every minute is probably way more than enough maybe even 5 mins.

I’m not sure but I reading that my sensors might be recording a a reading every second which is maybe producing far too many data points for the software plot in a quick and snappy fashion.

Any advice on what I should do?

I’m using Govee Bluetooth temp sensors.

You could try using a statistics graph instead of a history graph, as the statistics graphs are downsampled 5-minute datapoints

Ideally getting less chatty sensors would be good... but using a different graph would be a quick fix
