I have a large button that opens our garage door (new to the house). click to open, click to stop, click to close. How do i make this into something that works on zigbee? What do i need for this? I know and found "pushers" but that seems not really ideal with limited battery life. Thanks!

Replacing the remote/button isn't necessarily the way to go. What is usually recommended is a smart garage door opener—which will allow controls via home assistant (and can also show you the status).

You may be able to get something like the Bond Bridge to learn the controls currently sent by the bottom. And then once that is in HA. You could add zigbee buttons which use automations to send the signals via the bond bridge to the garage door.
