#HA OS Core 2024.11 has issues loading pages on iOS App

I updated HA OS Core to 2024.11 yesterday evening and I am opening the iOS Companion app for the first time this morning since this update and the companion app has issues loading various pages (my main dashboard, map, energy, even settings, etc).

I can open history, developer tools, and most add ons, but all other pages are inaccessible.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the error. Photo attached is when trying to access the settings page.

Accessing HA through a web browser doesn’t provide any issues (both mobile web browser as well as desktop) and work as normal.

Versions of HA OS are as follows:
Core: 2024.11
Supervisor: 2024.11.2
OS: 13.2
Front end: 20241106.0

iOS is on 18.1.

Try clearing the cache in the companion app. Settings > Companion App > Debugging > Reset Frontend Cache.

@jade depot Can you be more specific? In iOS, there's no Settings > Companion App. There's Settings > Apps > Home Assistant, but it doesn't provide an option to clear the cache.
In the macOS companion app, I can't find an option to clear the cache either.

What version of the companion app are you running?

2024.11.0. The Companion app configuration section exists only in the iOS app, not on macOS nor in the browser-based app.
That's unfortunate, because the only way of interfacing with the iOS app is by pushing the back button (see @zealous flare 's screenshot above), and that does nothing.
The "fix" for me was to delete the iOS app, then install it anew. Deleting also deletes all data, including cache data, so everything's fine now.

@zealous flare Since you have the exact same problem I have, I'd suggest to try the exact same solution. 😄

This is on Companion App version 2024.9.4.

For some reason, things seem to be back to normal now? I haven’t changed anything.

In my original troubleshooting, I fully closed the app, etc and was experiencing the same problems….

Only change at this moment is I’ve traveled to work and am on a different internet connection.

I will try a front end cache reset if this returns, as well as a reinstall if needed!

It’s interesting that it appears to have solved itself on its own.

Those are the best sorts of problems, ones that resolve themselves! 😆

#

Speaking of resolving, how do you mark a topic resolved on Discord?

I had the same problem with the iOS app. Deleted and re-installed from test flight solved it.

Typically, if the page won’t load you’ll see an orange circle with gear icon in the bottom right. That should also take you to the companion app settings.

As for my question how to mark a topic as resolved on Discord: In the sidebar, right-click on the topic, select Labels > Resolved.
