I have a gas sensor setup, it's wonderful and calibrated. But occasionally, like right now, the value will be increasing and the Gas dashboard just... Doesn't react. Its stuck on 137.6ft cubed, and the gas total is 810.50 and increasing. Home assistant's energy dashboard does not react. Any ideas?

The energy dashboard shows data from the statistics table which are updated hourly, on the hour. You shouldn’t expect it to update live with the sensor’s state
Unless you’re referring to the data in the animated diagram that shows the current state?

The animated diagram does not reflect the "current state", that uses the same statistics as well.

Additionally, some gas meters only report back once per hour, just after the hour, as well. Together these 2 reasons can result in your gas usage showing up in the dashboard only 2 hours after the gas was actually used, and listed for the hour after the one it was actually used in.
