Away GPS tracker not taking precedent over a home wifi tracker

I have an issue with home assistant not updating the GPS device tracker of a person entity until the Wi-Fi tracker has been AFK for a few minutes. My understanding is that an away GPS tracker should immediately take precedent over a home Wi-Fi tracker. Despite this, my GPS tracker can be away, but until I've been away long enough for the Wi-Fi tracker to register as not_home, the person entity uses the Wi-Fi tracker

The app only updates the device tracker. Sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with the person entity if the device tracker is updating properly.
