I only use my cover card to open or close. But the default view is the slider. I want to change this. Everyday I click 5 times to change from slider view to button view. Is this possible?

if you use the tile card you can add a feature to have the open/close controls on the main tile.

I don't want it in the main tile. I want it to open with the open close buttons. If I tap it on the main tile.
So I use the glance card and want it to open on the buttons after pressing and not the slider.

My only idea is to customize the entity to remove the feature flag that allows it to support percentage setting. But that will remove that capability across the whole frontend.
Otherwise this request isn't supported in stock HA.
