#Nabu Casa - Authentication straight through to HA

Long time user of HA, and used NC a fair while back for a while. Started using NC again today.

I recall when I last used NC that I was dropped into a NC login page first off, then into HA to login.

When I'm going in now (using personal hotspot, incognito mode), I'm getting dropped straight into HA login.

I've set up 2FA on HA, but was really keen to have a seccond level of defence in NC. Am I wrong in thinking it used to provide this? Is it just acting as a reverse proxy server, or does it offer some security benefit?

Assuming it doesn't offer another level of auth over the top, am I better off sticking with CloudFlare Tunnels? I'd really hope it would provide its own auth layer, and ideally 2FA too. All I can see it doing is reverse proxy'ing at the moment.

All NC does is proxy. It’s never done auth that I remember.

It’s simply an easier way of providing external -> internal without having to mess with ports and certs.

Eek - Thats a real shame - I want to support HA, but at the same time it really feels like NC is not adding much here.

#

Is there an issue tracker or somewhere one can vote for feature requests?

No, it has never done this. The service provides a URL to reach your HA instance. The URL can be used in any browser or device and does not require going to nabucasa.com first.

Back in the day (you can still somewhat use it) there was remote.nabucasa.com you could use if you forgot your URL.

What?

The remote URI? I seem to remember that being in the cloud panel? Or am I misremebering?
