Can this be added to home assistant? It’s by default HomeKit only and uses Bluetooth. I cannot figure out how to add this to home assistant. Everything I search for only relates to the newer thread/matter devices.

home assistant supports homekit devices pretty well, both over bluetooth and switching them over to a thread connection. the docs for adding them are here: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homekit_controller/
but it might be possible to upgrade that device to use matter instead, see the instructions here: https://www.evehome.com/en/upgrade-to-matter (requires an iphone or ipad)

No HomeKit device I have that are HomeKit only are showing up in home assistant at all. Eve door. Meross garage door. Aiversa humidifier.
These instructions seem to be for taking things in HA and putting them into HK. I want to go the other way.

konekit_controller is for integrating HK devices into HA. you don't have to have any real homekit hub to do it.

I’m not sure what the problem is then. None of the devices I want to add show up. There’s just the HASS a few times and my AVR and whatever “smart bridge 2” is

the instructions i linked are for connecting homekit-compatible devices directly to home assistant (i.e. nothing to do with apple home)
i don't think there's any way to have home assistant operate devices that are connected to apple home?

Ohhh okay. I thought you HAD to pair them to HomeKit and then bring them over
