I am using the machine that runs home assistant as the voice satellite with a microphone connected and it has built-in-speakers, and a media player at the same time using VLC via telnet and I used to handle both with automations on wake word detection it stops the media player and starts listening and after everything finishes it resumes the media player. I want to implement this way for the timers, if the media player is playing anything, then it stops and play the sound file for the finished timer and announce this timer with its name using the tts with piper.
