So I've been trying to run my HAOS on my RPI4. Earlier I was able to do so and had no issues. Then when I try to log back into it after a while it goes into emergency boot. I'm not sure what to do and I don't know if this is an issue with my RPI4 or not. I've had this issue with Raspbian before where I leave it alone for a couple days (even without power) and the SD gets corrupted.
#RPI4 keeps breaking

SD Cards are prone to do that. What card is it? What power supply do you use?
I've got an old iphone charger for that and I got a 64GB SD card
Sandisk
Try to see if a proper power supply changes things. The official power supply is a good choice.
should I boot from SD or from a USB
I'll see abt the proper power supply
A SSD connected through a powered USB HUB is the "best" choice but you need reliable power for the pi as well and random chargers don't often provide that.
This might show some information about that: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/rpi_power/
Also see the link there: https://www.raspberrypi.com/documentation/computers/raspberry-pi.html#power-supply-warnings
Thanks. I'll see if I can order a proper power supply and SSD
hopefully that works
Don't forget the powered USB hub if you want to connect a USB SSD.
I had this old PI4 for a while and I don't wanna just waste it
I'll throw on a USB hub
You can always sell it and buy a (U)USFF PC instead.
dunno who's gonna buy a PI4 right now lmao
esp with the PI5 out
But in case you get into the emergency console again you can try these commands: https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/operating-system/debugging#checking-the-logs
