I can't include number 72 (currently on 71 device). It spins and times out. No errors in the log (not any).
Tried to restart the addon. Tried to unplug and plug... what next?

Z-Wave JS
Current version: 0.8.0

Core 2024.10.3
Supervisor 2024.10.2
Operating System 13.2
Frontend 20241002.3

Try excluding the device first

I have found the issue. It seems that there are 2 ways:

  1. click the "devices" in integrations:
    That gives right bottom "add device". This does not (NEVER) works.
  2. click "z-wave" on integrations page, then "configure" and add device dos work....

Huh where is 1.?

#

Can you share screenshots of that?

do you by any chance have more than one config entries under the z-wave integration page? (maybe a disabled one?)

  • Settings -> Devices & Services -> Integrations tab -> + ADD INTEGRATION button -> Add Z-Wave device
  • Settings -> Devices & Services -> Devices tab -> + ADD DEVICE button -> Add Z-Wave device
  • Settings -> Devices & Services -> Select Z-Wave integration instance -> Click CONFIGURE on desired Hub -> Click + ADD DEVICE

The first two don't allow Hub selection, if you do have more than 1, presumably it picks whichever config entry comes first. Otherwise for a single Hub (integration), I'd expect they all do the exact same thing (logs and/or dev tools websocket would confirm).

I have only 1 hub... 1 stick, 1 network...

#

first does not work, second does...

I don't tknow what the frontend does in the different cases. The frontend would need to be investigated.

Petar is looking into it

This looks like the backend is returning an error for "zwave_js/add_node". These are not handled at the moment and only logged in the dev console

#

@sage cobalt Can you please open the dev tools console and see what error is logged when try the non-working way?
