Hi I’m completely new and setting up my HA with Philips hue. Not gotten to the part where I sync everything together but I’m thinking of using motion as trigger everywhere. An example is when someone enters the living room, the main light turns on. I also want to then do a trigger on Apple TV that if Netflix is on, to start hue hdmi sync and turn down the main lights. I’m just wondering would the motion automation keep triggering when I move? Do I add condition to check tv state before going on?
I’d want only Netflix to turn lights down, YouTube etc should all have normal lights, how would I go about that?
And if for example I override all this with my app and with tv and Netflix on, I put all lights to bright, would something break or will HA keep trying to put lights out? Do user actions take precedence over automation scripts?
