I'm running HAOS in a Proxmox container. I connected a speaker + mic to my Proxmox host. I have set up Piper, Whisper, and openWakeWord. Assist works properly on my phone.
I would like to use my Proxmox host as a Google Home speaker.
Is it possible?

If you are properly forwarding sound devices from the host to the VM, Assist Microphone should get the job done https://github.com/home-assistant/addons/tree/master/assist_microphone

Just be aware that it won't be Google Home speaker, it'll be HA Assist.

Audio Device Forwarding:
I tried forwarding Audio devices, which were visible in HA, but mopidy couldn't make the any sound on the speaker, HA Assist didn't hear me. I couldn't use the SPICE driver, so I selected the dummy option. -
PCIe forwarding: I forwardede the soundcard with
forward all functionsticked, this messed up the server, since it gave the netword card to HAOS.
Forwarding without the checkbox: the soundcard is not visible in HAOS.
