#Need help with Energy config

It does take a little while for data to show up in the dashboard, you might just have to leave it an hour
What date range are you looking at? Have you looked at older dates?
I put this in yesterday as well, none of the data has come in
The "wait an hour" advice I believe is for statistics being generated from local entities, which won't be the case with opower, since it just downloads data directly into statistics
The issue is that it isn't even downloading the stats it seems. I waited a whole day for this and nothing came in
Ah OK then. I'm afraid I don't know anything about opower - thought it was just the energy supplier rather than something more detailed like that
did you try looking further back in time?
Because utilities only release usage/cost data with a 48-hour delay, the integration inserts data into statistic objects. You can find the statistics in Developer Tools > Statistics and search for “opower”. This delay means that there will be no data in the energy dashboard for today and likely yesterday (depending on time of day you are checking).
I only installed this yesterday. Again I'm very new to this
Oh so it takes about 2 days?
try selecting "this month" for energy view
I don't think it takes two days, it means the data it downloads will be 2 days behind
hmm. I don't know maybe you'll have to get debug logs
this is the csv I got from this
completely empty
should I switch the integration from opower to my local power company?
I can't answer that
Where would I get the debug logs
Config-> Integrations and click on the integration. But I'm reaching the limits of how much I can help you with this since I don't really know anything specific about opower functioning.
You might have more luck on the community forum, but I'm not sure.
what other ways could I get the information about my power consumption?
the other solutions that they had are more europe specific it seems
As far as I know you can either get it from the utility/cloud (which you are attempting).
You can maybe get it by listening for your utility meter broadcasting the data on 900MHz (e.g. w/ RTLAMR).
Or you can buy hardware that monitors it and install it into your electric panel.
